Mission residents file lawsuit to remove sex offender from their community

Mission residents have renewed their fight to move a convicted sex offender out of their community.

James Conway moved into a Mission halfway house this summer after being forced out of Abbotsford.

The District of Mission has filed a lawsuit in the BC Supreme Court against the company running the facility, claiming its violating city bylaws.

Conway has a long history of sexual crimes and is serving a conditional sentence under 24-hour-a-day supervision.

Concerned Mission residents have also held protests to call on the district to do something about it.
