RCMP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision which occurred near Allardville, N.B. early Wednesday morning.
Bathurst RCMP officers were called to the crash on Route 8 at about 2 a.m.
A vehicle travelling northbound collided with a transport truck heading southbound.

A 26-year-old Saint-Anne man and a 22-year-old Petit-Rocher woman died at the scene from their injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist and the coroner are conducting an investigation into the crash.

Police say in a release it’s believed the vehicle crossed the centre line into the truck’s path, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
Route 8 is closed to traffic in both directions.
