Perth OPP are investigating the cause of a fatal two-vehicle collision Friday south of Mitchell that left one person dead.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at the intersection of Perth Road 164 and Perth Line 20 in West Perth around 1:05 p.m. for a collision involving a car and a tractor-trailer, Perth OPP said.

A driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead in hospital after being transported by paramedics with life-threatening injuries, police said. Their identity has not been released.
No other injuries were reported by police, and the cause remains under investigation.

The crash shut down the intersection for nearly 10 hours for investigation and clean-up.
