Starting Friday during the drive home rush hour, the intersection of Waverley Street and Taylor Avenue will be shutting down for the weekend.
At 5:30 p.m. traffic will be rerouted as crews work on the Waverley Underpass project.
Waverley between Mathers Avenue and Wilkes Avenue/Hurst Way will be closed as well as Taylor Avenue between Cambridge Street and east of the Reh-Fit Centre.

The intersection is expected to remain closed until Monday at 6 a.m.

Construction workers will be finishing the detour road that will be used for about two years while the underpass bridge and roadway are being built.
