A Regina man is facing drug trafficking charges after three men allegedly overdosed in a prisoner’s cell at Regina Provincial Court.
On August 22, police were called to the courthouse on the 1800 block of Smith Street where three men were displaying signs of an apparent drug overdose.

The three men were treated by EMS and taken to the hospital where they all recovered.
Police allege that a 20-year-old man made a hand to hand exchange of a substance with two of the prisoners.

Nickolai Alton Ellson, 20, is charged with trafficking a scheduled substance (heroin).
Ellson made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
