The Winnipeg Police Service said a senior citizen who went missing on the weekend had been found safe and sound.
Police first requested the public’s assistance Sunday morning to locate a missing 82-year-old woman with dementia .
Elizabeth Lesyk had last been seen just before 11 a.m. in the Transcona / Canterbury area of the city; she was successfully located later in the day.

Lesyk is a 5’ 3” Caucasian, weighing 130 pounds, with an average build and short white hair. She has a pronounced Scottish accent.
She was last seen wearing a dark green sweater, beige pants, black slippers and thick black framed glasses.
