Waterloo police arrested a man after an incident at the Zehrs grocery store on Holiday Inn Drive in Hespeler Tuesday.
The man was approached by store employees near the store in relation to an alleged shoplifting incident. Police say he produced a knife before taking off.

The employees then followed the man until police arrived at the corner of Queen Street West and Shepherd Avenue.
After a short negotiation with police, the man complied and was arrested.
