A 31-year-old woman has died after being hit by a vehicle near Polo Park Friday afternoon.
The incident happened late afternoon Friday on Maroons Road between St. James Street and Cactus Jack Place.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased.

Police had the road closed late into the evening, and a small white car was seen on the back of a flat bed truck.
Members of the Winnipeg Police Traffic Division believe a southbound vehicle making an eastbound turn collided with a northbound vehicle.
The northbound vehicle struck the woman and a nearby traffic light pole.
