The Norwood Pool won’t be among the city facilities opening back up to Winnipeggers this summer.
Councillors voted unanimously Wednesday to close the nearly 60-year-old facility.
A report by the city’s public service determined there were too many issues with the pool to make it worthwhile to keep it open.
In September, council’s community services and parks committee voted to delay action on the pool, which was previously slated to close due to its age and damage.

The final decision was made Wednesday morning.

Coun. Janice Lukes (Waverley West) told 680 CJOB the St. Boniface pool isn’t the only aging city rec facility.
“These recreation facilities are very old,” she said.
“I think the city’s got over 60 community centre facilities, and some of them are beyond repair.
