A 37-year-old man from Dartmouth has been charged with making arrangements to commit a sexual offence against a child.
Halifax Regional Police say they received information on July 20, 2018 that a man was communicating with women in Halifax/Dartmouth area about committing sexual offences against children.

Police say they received a second complaint on Dec. 2, 2018 that was similar in nature.

Samer Elmir, 37, was arrested on Wednesday at a residence on Breeze Drive in Dartmouth, where the internet child exploitation unit seized an electronic device for forensic analysis.
Elmir appeared in court the same day to face the charge.
