Cambridge Memorial Hospital said its COVID-19 testing centre on Holiday Inn Drive was evacuated Monday morning at around 11 a.m. due to a suspected gas leak.
The hospital said some staff had complained of light-headedness and general unease.
CMH says firefighters and employees from Enbridge Gas were called to the scene to investigate.
The hospital said tests were conducted at the site which showed there were no gas leaks on the premises.

CMH says it is suspected that some foul air travelled into the site through an open window which was mistaken for a gas leak.
The hospital asked anyone who had booked at COVID-19 test to head to the Grand River Hospital’s drive-thru testing centre, which is located in downtown Kitchener at 15 Charles St. W.

There is no need to book an appointment, according to the hospital, as it says all appointments will be honoured at the testing centre in Kitchener.
The hospital says the testing site will return to business as usual on Tuesday.
