European Union (EU) countries called on Monday for new sanctions on Moscow over the death of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, as they discussed a package of fresh penalties to mark two years of Russia's war on Ukraine. Meanwhile, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Yulia Navalnaya, said in a video message that "I will continue the work of Alexei Navalny, continue to fight for our country," and added, "I ask you to share the rage with me. Rage, anger, hatred towards those who dared to kill our future."
