National group representing taxpayers calls for federal government to pump brakes on gas levy
Description
August 14, 2026
A national group representing tax payers wants to see the Canadian governmnet pump the brakes on its gas levy. Ottawa's pause of the Federal Fuel Tax is scheduled to soon end, bringing back a ten-cent-per-litre fee for drivers. As Skye Bryden-Blom reports, Maritimers are worried about losing any financial relief at the pumps.
