A nationwide day of cross-sector protests in Paris on Tuesday saw firefighters and teachers -- among other civil workers and students – voicing discontent with the ongoing lack of government funding and resources. The strike action comes just days before the government is set to unveil its 2027 budget draft, with budget cuts expected ahead of next year’s presidential election. Stephanie Hallihan reports.
