Right now the Sex Offender Registry in Ontario doesn't allow the public to access the information it contains. The only people who can access that information are police services. But Dave Smith, MPP for Peterborough-Kawartha, wants to change that. He's introduced a Private Member's bill that would publicize at least some of that information. The bill reaches its second reading this week in Queen's Park. MPP Smith spoke with Global News Morning Peterborough anchor Noor Ibrahim about the initiative.
