During Thursday’s session of question period, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh accused the Liberals of giving “massive tax exemptions” to oil and tax companies, according to the Parliamentary Budget Office – $2.3 billion. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland responded by saying the government is trying to phase out oil and gas subsidies as well as cut emissions.
