Canada's Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino commented on the federal government’s ban of TikTok on government-issued mobile devices on Tuesday saying that “it is important that as we interact with Canadians that they know that their information will be protected, that their information is secure and that we can deliver the essential services they need in a way that is also safe and secure.”
