Before delivering a Wednesday apology for hosting and celebrating a Nazi Second World War veteran in Parliament, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed MPs who stood and clapped for 98-year-old Hunka Yaroslav last Friday “did so unaware of context.” Trudeau added that former House Speaker Anthony Rota’s tribute to Yaroslav was a “horrendous violation” of the memory of Holocaust victims.
