Hello folks. Today, I decided to do some research on exactly what we are spending our money on the most. I researched everyday items we use and things we do to come up with a list of how these habits are, unknowingly, eating away from our budget.
Of course, some "things" that made the list we can not do without, like house maintenance and coffee. But we can analyse this list, and maybe we can see where we can “cut back a little”.
Maybe your spending on a specific item is higher than the average listed in the lists, so maybe you want to do something about it.
I will list all my sources below for cross reference, please keep in mind that these are what the average person spends YEARLY, it's also not the exact figure, more of an approximation.

1. Coffee

Not counting the coffee at home, the average coffee drinker will spend close to $1,100 a year on the java!

2. Cigarettes

It's a nasty habit. I'm glad I quit over a year ago! The average smoker spends close to $2500 on ciggies each year. That’s a vacation!

Where To Hide Money and Valuable Items

Your Fridge Freezer

Just put your money in an envelope, place the envelope in a plastic bag, roll it up and stuff it right there with the poultry :) Easy to do and easy to get to BUT very hard to find if you’re an intruder. Just don’t forget where your small fortune is hidden :)

In Your Aquarium

Put your money in plastic containers and just stuff it in the sand, it would be best if you get a container or jar that is small enough to go undetected between the sand. Also make sure the "treasure box" is not visible from any side of the aquarium, if it is, consider thickening up the layer of sand or place some rocks around it.
A good idea would be to get large aquarium decoration like a ship wreck or something and fit it in there, obviously always remember to place it in water proof material.
